I liked that a lot, particularly the lead guitar tone. With regards to the song itself, I can't really think of any advice other than getting hold of a vocalist to sing those lyrics for you. Recording-wise, there's perhaps a bit of room for polishing it up though.

It's been ages since I used hardware recording gear so I can't really help there. You might want to get into software recording as it allows much more flexibility.I use Reaper,

http://reaper.fm/download.php

You can download it for free and should pay the $50 after a month.I have as it's worth it and their forum alone is worth the money.

Some fantastic help on recording etc.

I only mention this as I can hear a good drum track in the song in my head with bass and keyboards/strings etc which can all be done really cheap these days.

does it allow you to do drum tracks etc?

Adding a singer would really help take the track to the next level. Also, I would try creating a few new themes or varitions in the song to prevent it from sounding repeditive. Other than that, you seem to have a pretty good song on your hands.

I like what you've got here. Good acoustic guitar. I liked the lead too. Some vocals would really make it great. Aside from some touching up a little bit, vocals are the only thing I can really think of adding.

This could definately be a great song.
"On this life that we call home
The years go fast
and the days go so slow...

the days go so slow

Hey im going to cut you a favor if you want?
Would you allow me to add some bass, vocals, and a drum machine?

Id LOVE to do that for you.

This song would be so good with it personaly.
My opinion on it as of now is i like a lot it but it feels hollow without a bassline and drums. May i ask what effect you did on the lead guitar to get it to studder how it did? Some form of tremelo effect?

Edit: In my profile theres a song called
"From colours to sounds" for the Crit back
