Quote by That Place On The Highway
The radio’s forever static,
And my mind is forever too,
Sitting in dead stop lay by,
I’m wondering where to leave the flowers,
It’s been a long time coming,
But I know that I’d make it here sometime,
To lay down a crimson wreath of memories,
And walk the green line,

Chorus
Maybe I can’t bring you back baby,
But oh god I can try,
The shape shifting blur of lights baby,
Like the fire that never left your eyes,

Wasn’t awake when it happened,
Was just waiting for the light to shine in,
I dosed off gently waiting for you,
Had a dream you were flying away,
And I didn’t know what to do,
Heard the tone before it was down the line,
I couldn’t believe it was true,
Maybe if I wasn’t sleeping I could have saved you,

Chorus
Maybe I can’t bring you back baby,
But oh god I can try,
The shape shifting blur of lights baby,
Like the fire that never left your eyes,

Outro
But I’ve been beating myself up,
For days and days and days,
I never was good with words darling,
I’m not even sure if these will do,

Inspired by Bruce Springsteen and Heart Attack In A Lay By by Porcupine Tree.

These are alright lyrics, but they don't create any striking visuals. Usually when I read lyrics I try and visualize what going on in each verse, and that was kind of difficult to do with this one. Keep it up though.

Great, Id say work on the begining. Everything else is great though.

The ending (outro) was weak compared with the rest of the piece.

Other than that, it flowed well, the rhymes worked and as did the rhythm.

I really liked it, well done.

Sorry to be a complete bitch, but could you have a look at mine? rest in piece, in sig.
