I just made a thread asking for a good Metallica sound on a Boss Metal Zone MT-2 Pedal, but I have other bands too. If you can give me any suggestions on settings for these bands, and please don't reply if you're going to tell me "you can't get these sounds from that pedal" or "get a different pedal, that one sucks." None of that, just if you have some good settings, let me know....

1. Iron Maiden
2. AC/DC
3. Green Day or Blink-182(mostly punk in general, anything from older(70s,80s) to more new(90s).
4. Slayer

Iron maiden is just a high mids type of tone , lower the gain for the ac dc, bit of high mids too,and you can't expect to get every single band out of a pedal which was mainly built for high gain m3talz.

I realize that, but you know, I just want something close to the sounds.

You can't get any of those sounds from that pedal, except perhaps a Slayer-type tone.

And can you honestly not get close to those sounds with your amp, because it'll get you closer than that horrible pedal will.
Actually called Mark!

For Iron Maiden and a lot of other british metal bands like Judas Priest, from what I can remember, my settings were:

Level: 11:30
High: 1:00
Low: 1:30-2:00
Mid Freq: 12:15
Mid: 3:30
Dist: 12:00-3:00

Slayer is the only band whose tone you can even get close to with that pedal (and even then, it's a big fail). Those other bands use much lighter gain and power tube distortion and the metalzone, even with the gain backed way off, will still sound too gainy, thin, and abrasive.

There is a reason you're being told to "get a different pedal, that one sucks." It's the worst pedal I've ever owned.
