Soo I'm getting a new guitar soon. And I'm at a dillema of whether to get an EC-500 and a new amp, or just an EC-1000.

Also, is there even much difference between the playing of the two guitars?

What is your current amp? If you amp is decent I would go for the ec-1000 in vintage black

Yeah, that was the color I was looking at

My amp is not good at all, it's a little eiphone studio I got a longg time ago with my first guitar.

you could get a used ec-1000 and an amp. You can find them on craigslist from 400-700

The EC-1000 is quite a bit nicer, but not 400 dollars nicer. The only noticeable differences between the 500 and the 1000 are the TonePro's locking bridge on the 1000 rather than the standard Tune-O-Matic, Quilted Maple Top on 1000's, the pearloid binding, and the Abalone Flag frets on the 1000 rather than pearl. So, I'd suggest an EC-500 and a new amp.

Thanks, I really couldn't tell the difference haha.

Yes. I had mine for 6 years, then sold it to fund my KH-2 Vintage Sig ^_^
They're very nice and hardly wear if taken care of.
