So I, with a broomstick(Just in case) walk right where they can see me and I said:

"You kids ever taken a broom up the ass?"

The look on their face was priceless, and they ran, and I mean ran like a bat out of hell.

Why were they discontinued in the UK? If they were still around I'd probably get one instead of the X50 pro if they come in the same colours as the X50.

I called all the Washburn dealers in the UK, I'm pretty sure I got the last one as they only found it by small miracle, although they only come in black and quilted blue and now without the inlay on the 12 fret.
though the x40 is quite a lot different to the x50 the X40 is alder whereas the x50 is mahogony, the x40 has a floyd and a duncan distortion, the x50 has a fixed bridge and custom custom etc. They do sound pretty different, it just depends what you are looking for to be honest.

PS.
I don't really know why they were discontinued to be honest it sounds insane to me, but they were probably making way for the new HM series, which it must be said I'm not that keen on and cost more. My advice is buy the X50, it's most definitely worth it if you don't want a floyd. Want a floyd? Might be better looking at a Schecter Hellraiser/ Blackjack.
