Hi,

I had a planning thread a while ago so this is the build thread.

I've got pickups (Dimarzio D-Activators), a Floyd and some wood (Black Walnut for body and a maple-wenge-maple sandwich for the neck).

Now then the maple I have is quite far from quartersawn, would there be a problem with warping when it's glued together with the wenge? Also would reversing the grain help to stop this?

Thanks,
Sam

I think if you can laminate it well, you shouldn't have a problem, but I'd ask LP or JS for more on that subject.

The laminates should make for a strong neck regardless of the non-quatersawn maple.
