Alright then?

I doubt you could glue it using household glue, at least make sure you use somethine redicuously strong. Or take it to a luither for a quote.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

As long as you have some atleast half decent wood glue that takes a while to set (24+ hours to let it seep into all the woods pores etc) then It'l been fine. Iv'e had two necks clean cracked off and it's not a massively hard thing to fix if you have a vague idea of what to do.

When in doubt take it to a luthier.

Presumably he had insurance on it?

I know if owned a music shop and somebody broke a guitar that they bought from me I sure as hell wouldn't just give them a new one!
