Doesn't have to be just music, either. It can be comedy/spoken word, etc.

And, remember, there's no such thing as a definitive list. Everyone has their own opinion. No one cares if you think Album B should replace Album A on the list because Album B is "better".

Here's my list.

These are, also, only albums I've listened to throroughly, as well.

2000: "Ágætis Byrjun"- Sigur Rós
2001: "Origin of Symmetry"- Muse (That was a hard choice. 2001 was amazing.)
2002: "Geogaddi"- Boards of Canada
2003: "Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place"- Explosions in the Sky (another insanely hard choice.)
2004: "The Fall of Math"- 65daysofstatic
2005: "Menos el Oso"- Minus the Bear & "Kezia"- Protest the Hero (I couldn't decide.)
2006: "Enter"- Russian Circles
2007: "Conqueror"- Jesu (even though 20 others could be in the same spot, as well)
2008: "Board Up the House"- Genghis Tron

Those were some of the ones I had trouble choosing between.

ESPECIALLY M83. That album is beyond incredible.

Nah, I'm not anti-Metallica, I just don't really enjoy them anymore. I over listened to them a few years back, and haven't really cared for them since.

I just figured that had to be it. It's the only album that is well known, and critically acclaimed, where most people know that it was made in 1988.

Good point Probably one of my favourite 'tallica albums, my music taste mainly sits back before the timeframe specified in this thread so I can't really contribute that much..

No need to cry.

You're replacing Badmotorfinger with Dirt, which kicks ass as well.
