I'm considering buying a used one in good condition, but have any of you tried these guys out? I want to get a nice tube combo for band practice and gigging? I play a lot of punk by the way.

great cleans and jcm900 like overdrive, it should do punk well, but you can always put a overdrive pedal on it to get into metal gain territory. The reverb is very subtle but its a great sounding amp none the less.

Nice cleans warm soft cleans for some bridge parts. Nice crunchy distortion for rhythm, one that will make palm mutes really stand out. Basically a really nice punk/pop-punk tone would be ideal.

Well it's definitely got the cleans you want, very warm cleans. As for overdrive it's almost what you want, it doesn't have the ompf you'll like for palm muting, but with an overdrive pedal it should be exactly what you want.
