I need to use Photoshop to edit a pic for a school project but it's being a bitch.

When I try to use like the Clone Stamp it won't let me select the area I want to clone.
It's the first time it happened.

Probably just a noob question.

But any quick answers, please ?

Thanks in advance

Are you holding down alt when you select the area?

Ohh.
Worked.

I still can't do what I want to, though.
I need to erase some stuff but keeping the background.

Any tips ?

Control + click where you want to clone for macs,

I think that converts to Alt + etc. for windows...

You should've cloned in a new layer, and erase it with a depressed brush, and then the background will fade in...

But best thing to do is just figure it out yourself, after a day with photoshop for me, I knew how to do everything left and right...

I gotta do this to tuesday and I'm a noob.
Also, it's 3am here and I'm going out tomorrow.

Not much time to figure out by myself, I suppose.

Thanks for the tip, though
