The thing that always irked me about The Bible is the time span in which is was written. I mean, in all of the time that intellectual man has survived on Earth, God only wanted to speak to us at that time? It was a small span in which all of the books were written (compared to the life of man). You would just think that if there was a superior being he would realize that his book of standards is a little outdated. So why didn't he proceed in talking to these prophets? Is the age of human prophecy dead? Or was the age of prophetic writings just a trend, like everything else that becomes insanely popular then eventually dies away.
