I was asked over msn the other night wether or not my amp had tubes or not. So now I come to you guys(and girls if you exist on the internet) for some help. Please enlighten me

Oh okay and tube emulation is making it sound like it has tubes right?? I feel like an idiot for not knowing these things haha.

It's a solid state amp. You would be looking for vacuum tubes, which look a bit like light bulbs. They even light up when the amp is on and they have warmed up.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have tubes, google it? or google tube amp to find out what tubes look like then check your amp.

You would be able to see the tubes if it had any, you can't keep them in a sealed box without them over heating.

Quick pointers (compared to Solid State) if it was tube it would be big and heavy, it would need time to warm up and possibly have a standby switch.

Unless it just had a tube preamp, which it doesn't.

True but its the output transformer that adds so much to the weight not the preamp section.
Yiou should have the size of the output transformer on a 200 watt Hiwatt bass amp at the factory; looked more like a substation.

Yeah, I've owned three all-tube amps so far, none were fun to move. Going back to hybrid is going to be a big relief!
