so i let a friend of mine draw on one of my acoustic guitars and she did a really good job but it smears really easily. if i put some kind of clear coat over it will it change the sound of my guitar a lot?

also are there any other things i could do to keep it from smearing

thanks in advance for all the replys

clean it off a tiny bit at a time and replace it with a permanent marker. easy fixed

we thought about that but its hard to do shading in permanent marker so i see it as a last resort

well unless you sand back your guitar, do it on the wood then reseal it. good luck

A clear coat will not change the sound.

It might dissolve the drawing though.

hmm, ill have to think of something, all she ever draws in is charcoal and pencil, but i will have to convince her to use something a little more durable i guess. thanks for the help all
