We have no idea if it's good. That's a picture you've shown us. It's not as if we can sit down with the actual guitar and give you our two cents.

It's an older Epiphone (and that headstock is starting to look like an Elitest to me) and they're reputed to be pretty good; and since $300 won't even net you a new Epiphone Standard (read: china, crap, etc) the price is really great too.

Get it. Even if you hate it you'll be able to sell it for more than $300.

Seems to have had a pickup swap...Any information on that?

The maple top and the paintjob seem to be of a good quality.

Headstock just looks like a normal Epiphone one, viewed at an angle. See where the edge sticks out on the front side? I just set my Hummingbird on the floor and it looked exactly the same.

I want to hear a few more people chime in, but; I think that's a fake.
#21
I mean maybe. But who fakes an EPIPHONE les paul? Haha you'd think they'd just go straight for Gibson. I think it's an 80s Epi LP because it doesn't make sense to lie about that.

I searched for other 80s epi les pauls and some of them had that headstock...

You'd be surprised by the amount of Epi fakes. I'm suspicious of that headstock too.

the guy told me this:

"It does have a pretty significant ding right in the binding on the face on the bottomof the guitar like it was dropped on something. It also has what looks to be a cigarette burn above the bottom tone pot. There are a few other minor dings. overall I would rate it 7 out of 10."

about the guitar's condition..

I've boughten a counterfeit Epiphone before. Didn't know till long after the ebay seller had been shut down and I'd already sold the guitar.

I felt pretty awful about having sold someone a counterfeit guitar thinking it was genuine.

Epi fakes are out there though. I've got a few Chineese websites bookmarked where you can get them. They're about as expensive as the Gibson knock-offs; though, who expects a fake Epiphone?
