well thinking about getting it as the xmas sales are putting it down to $800 AUD instead of 1k, so should I?

I mainly write my own stuff now days but when I play covers it's: Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Parkway Drive, etc. A lot of different metal.

So give me your opinions please

It has the Edge III trem. The general consensus is to stay away from those - fixed RG model if you don't need the trem. If you do, I'd suggest looking at other guitars (maybe the S520EX, that's the same price, at least here), or being prepared to dish out $200 for an OFR in the future.

Okay thanks, can I ask what's wrong with the Edge III trem?

Edge III is fine... If you take care of it it will hold for quite a while. My friend has that guitar, he switched out the pickup for the Seymour Duncan Hot rodded set (JB/Jazz) and it's now one badass guitar. He only has problem with the trem when he abuses it like an idiot, though. Very deep divebomb and such...

Its not made of very good metal, its very soft and doesnt stay in tune well.

Wait, to what extent is the metal soft? Does that have anything to do with the fact that it gets de-tuned quite quickly, or?

hey guys sorry for bothering but how about the S320 WK? this shop shows that the guitars are basically the same, the only difference I can imagine there would be are the pickups.

I think the S320 is manufactured in Malaysia and S520 is in Korea.
There might be different in the grade of wood they used. Also, the electronic is different.
