I got a few hundred bucks I want to throw into a new practice amp. I have sat here and read through countless posts on "New Amp" threads via the search bar. I love the look of the Epi VJ, and its mod-ability. But I am ot sure it is for me...

I want to know a couple things...
I cant just go try a bunch of amps. So I ask you guys...

I want a tubed amp...
I want to be able to get Sabbath sounds...
I want Zeppelin fuzz...
I want the occasional dirt of Kirk Hammett...

I have a pedal. (look at my sig) I am planning on getting an OD pedal soon too.

Or should I say the hell with it and keep the practice amp I already have? (also in my sig)

(Yes, I am still a n00b to alot of this guitar gear)

Like I said, about a few hundred bucks. Probably like 350 tops...

The only stack you could afford there is a half stack, and it's an MG, which is crap. Go for a tube combo, IMO 30-50 tube watts and 2x12 speakers is all you'll need.

For 350 i'd go with Blackheart BH5H and BH112 or one of the crate V-series

I think the VJ head (like you suggested, schismed) with a decent 1X12 cab and a good distortion pedal should work great.
