vox v847 definitely. the non 'a' version needs to be easily modded for true bypass.

Well they're practically the same circuit, they aren't much different sounding at all.

The only difference is that the Crybaby uses an input buffer instead of being true bypass. The V847 is not true bypass and does not use any buffers so there will being a slight tone loss when it's off. The other difference is lower resistor value for the gain/bass resistor in the Crybaby, the result is slightly more bass response. Other than that they're the same thing, the Vox even uses the Dunlop inductor.
