As a travel bass, these aren't a bad option, but I wouldn't consider one for a main bass. They are rather petite in size and a good option if you are under 8 years old and want a good starter bass that doesn't sound like a First Act.

The sound is surprising decent though for a short scale.

I would say that if you want to try different kinds of basses, try them. But don't buy it just to try it. If you try it and you like it, get it. But try it first, at GC or somewhere.
