Alright guys. I'm looking for a booster pedal to get a beefier tone from my Orange Rocker whilst using my Strat, I've got good pickups in it (Rockmonkey pickups) but I'm looking for some sort of booster or maybe an EQ that'll beef up my sound, but without losing any natural tone.
Would an EQ provide a slight boost and beef up my sound? Think of Blackmore on Made in Japan/Deep Purple) or would I be better with some sort of treble booster?
Help!
Cheers.

If you get an MXR 10 band you can use the level and gain sliders to use it as a boost, you will also have more control over your sound in general so you won't have to deal with any lost frequencies. (I don't know if boost pedals actually color your tone or not, I'm just saying if they do...)

The super hard on has interested me, but would it beef up my sound that much?
I'm not looking to get loads more gain, just a general boost in the sound, make it ....wider sounding.
I have considered the MXR too, would be more tweakable....

I've already got an OCD, it's good for gettin more gain, but not to thicken up the sound that much.

It's between the MXR 10 band eq and the fatboost at the mo....

By the way, they'll only be used when the amp's cranked to 10.

Yeah, either the MXR or the Fatboost.

I'd say get the LPB-1, but if you're looking into those two pedals, you can deffo afford better than it.

I dunno if it'll fatten the tone up much, but have a look into Catalinbread Super Chili Picoso. It's got the option of a Fat and a Clean boost.

Fulltone Fatboost.

I'm liking the boost on my new BOR.

The boost in the BOR is a SHO.

Haha the whole damn pedal is a show actually, cascaded SHO after SHO.

actually...you could build a SHO its not that hard
but a fulltone fatboost would go along perfectly with your other pedals

A lot of the pedals mentioned here, can be built pretty easily.

I'm glad you approve.

But yea, that or the Fatboost would be good.
