Sorry for the lovely title, just wanted to show my amp that I received about 2 weeks ago. Retail on this bad boy is around $1500, I got this one used for $850 plus shipping.

2 channels (one FET, one Tube)

3 effects loops (one per channel, then one master)

Lot's of lights!

oh, it sure sounds amazing... 1200w @ 2ohms amazing. But seriously, it gives me the chills. So loud, can't move it past 10 o'clock on the master volume. The fet channel pierces through any guitar stack, and the tube channel blends so well with a jazz drummer. Plus, you can mix the channels together. Tasty

The cool thing is... I am running a 4 ohm load of 1000w into my 6x10. The powerflex switch in the back converts it to a 2 ohm load. This has come in handy when playing in bars where bass amps cannot be DI-ed or mic'd. Plus, there is no 1/4" output. Just Speak-on. But thank you all for your comments. I thought I might share my lady with the Bass forum.

Out of curiosity... why do you run it through a 6x10? Why not the full 8x10? i mean they're both very similar in size and weight... and no 15" subs to go along with it? I mean if I had 1200 watts @ 2 ohms at my disposal... oh man, I'd probably have an 8x10 with 2 15"s.

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?

I can get sound clips on my new record, which is coming up in January. As far as the cabs go, I only have room for one cab in my Subaru... Plus, I feel the 6x10 is a great blend of portability and tone. I have never been a fan of 15s. Not enough precision or clarity. I love the tight feel of a (virgin...erm) 10" speaker. I play similarly to Ryan Martinie's style. I use a lot of the same technique, just not quite the caliber that he has. Consider me the bassist that you can't help but hear. Not because of the 1200w that I have recently acquired, but because I shove my rhythm guitarist on the root notes.

I also play a Warwick. Put the humbuckers in series and flip the treble to around +3 and bass to +5.... pure mix annihilation. Like a chainsaw through hot butter.

Plus Ampeg 810's don't have tweeters. Nice rig dude!

EDIT: How much did the rack case cost you?

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..
