Yo, well ive been playing for 2 years now, and my band is performing at a local bar this Friday, I asked how many people would be there, i was told there would be quite a large amount. Nerves aside i am quite excited.

The songs we are covering:

All the small things - blink 182
Louie Louie - Motorhead
Animal - Def Lepard
Enter Sandman - Metallica

I know the material pretty much inside out

I am using the following set-up

Epi les paul special ll - tuna melt tremolo - Metal Muff - Marshall 100watt MG Combo (not mine)

Are there any tips which you guys use to make sure the set goes well?

Just close your eyes after you've planted the first chord, then open them. Everything tends to flow from there for me.

learn o play the songs faster than they are. look into the crowd without messung up move around and stuff...^^ just be present on stage
#14
relax, don't get too stressed out if something goes wrong, just roll with it.
little advice, if you want the crowd on your side, give em some energy, i.e. be energetic on stage and they'll give you some energy back.

Also whats with Blink being stuck in with a load of metal/hard rock. HA!

Only one MG comment so far?
Don't let the bees out of it.
Pick flowers not fights.
Make love not war.
Drop acid not bombs.

Because telling someone they have crap gear will only make the gig worse. Save it for Saturday, then stone him for the badness of some of it.

thanks guys, i am doing rythme for enter sandman, which kinda sucks but whatever. and all the small things is in there cause its the drummers birthday and we wants it so :P

as far as the MG goes....... nothing a bit of metal muff cant sort out. i have no real solos, just fills so im not relying on jaw-dropping tone.

if you know the songs inside and out,
dont worry
if you mess up, you'll be fine because it probably wont be big enough for anyone to notice.

good luck though
