alright christmas is coming up and my brother wants to learn bass. can someone recommend me a good starter bass kit for him? also he is left handed with short stubby fingers, will this effect his playing?

well, if you can drop almost 500, my starter kit is amazing.

and they make Ibanez lefty if you look online.

well I was looking at one....I think it was dean for 200 will that suffice because he has an on/off interest for it so I dont want to spend 500 on it

get the 200-300 Ibanez one. it will play/sound much better.

my advice get a right handed bass for him. i think that the stubby figures and the more power in the left hand will cancel each other out, allowing him to learn a normal scale right handed bass and saving him money in the long run
