Man, did anybody see that? On the Grammy Nominations Live concert? John Mayer (spelling on Mayer?) and B.B. King rocked the house man. They played "Let the Good Times Roll" and it swung.

Yeah, they were cool as well.

I thought Mayer did a good job likening his style to that of BB's. BB definitely added something magical to the song, and his guitar parts were so simplistic. They got a standing ovation.

Dude I got these strings the other day that couldn't be tuned to higher than 4 octaves below middle C then I realized that they were shoelaces and they weren't making any sound at all.

Dang man....B.B.'s sound is so unlike anything I've ever heard.

They were amazing!! I kind of expected Mayer not to be nearly as good as B.B. King, but damn!

Swing by the Mayer thread in the blues forum..There's some interesting videos about him there, turns out he's a great guitarist

No. Everybody dies. And one day, given that your relationship doesn't crash and burn like so many do, one of you will end up deep in sorrow while watching the other one die.

He's really good, but he doesn't seem to do anything that hasn't been done before in the genre.

John Mayer is a damn good guitarist, but I wish he'd play music that uses his guitar abilities to their best.

Did anyone see him and Buddy Guy playing together? That was a great show too.

That's exactly what i though when i saw them. Not nearly as fluent as B.B, but he adapted skillfully.
