If by "clean" you mean "get a finger right up in there and do a good bit of spelunking" then i guess "at any given opportunity" is my answer.

(I think) The snare is too loud and shouldn't have so much reverb. The guitar should be louder in the mix. It sounds like something is slightly clipping on the low end, maybe the bass guitar. It's a good start, the instruments were recorded accurately, good EQing. I think they just need another pass through with mixing. Aside from recording I think it's fairly a good song, though the double kick seems out of time frequently, the snare is much more on time. The guitar riffs are cool, I really like the intro section. I apologize if I came off as negative, I really don't try to be, I understand that it's very hard to find a studio that accurately can capture a band's sound. I would be interested to see how the vocals will turn out.

Thanks for the input. But yeah its not really a studio its juts a little setup our bassists uncle has at his house. That's the first mix he sent us and we are gonna send him back what we think should be changed.

Also thanks about the guitar riffs and stuff. Sadly we don't have a vocalist and are looking for one

The vocals we had before our singer quit were really catchy. I think those were the best part of the song to be honest.

And yeah the guy really knew what he was doing. He does professional sound stuff for a living.
