hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but,

whenever i play guitar i get this unstoppable urge to make
everything i play symmetrical.
i mean like everything i play has to be an even
number of notes or strums.
its like some weird ocd type thing.

anybody else like that?

...You should probably fix that.

It just means you don't really have the ability to play in something like 7/8.

If you force everything into the cubed root of eight while reciting pi to 4 decimal places it'll fix up your problem.
I picked that one up at a workshop at the '07 tourettes conference.

I may be pretty far off here, but I'm pretty sure that wont help at all... I dunno I'm not really good at stuff.

I used to have a problem like that, just listen to songs with abnormal time sigs and strumming patterns. The Ocean helped for me.
