is there a peice of gear i could buy to make my Hot Rod Deluxe break up at a reasonable volume.

the amp does'nt start breaking up until th volume is around 4-5, but i've played large gigs with it and have never turned it up past 3 in those settings. i love the way that amp's natural distortion sounds and i would like to be able to utilize it more without overpowering my entire band. any suggestions or help is appreciated.
My Gear:

MXR Dyna Comp
B.K. Butler Tube Driver
EH Russian Muff

overdrive pedals produce un-natural drive (i'm assuming you mean you want to overdrive the clean channel due to the shortcomings of the HRD's overdrive?), and a booster will only give you preamp breakup.

what you want is an attenuator.

edit: my need to correct people whilst watching a carry on film made me get beaten to it
