Me again! I play everything from blues/jazz to metalcore/heavey metal, But with my band i play blues/classic rock(we gig btw). Should i get the Classic 30 + metal zone or a VK 212 plus the Metal Zone? i was kinda set on the 30(as u can see by my sig) but then i heard it was bad at metal so the VK is my other option!

if you play more blues/classic rock then go for classic 30 and buy an OD for metal
but if you need a great metal tone with compromising a nice clean tone then the VK

I agree.

Excellent. I just got mine a week ago and I'm shocked at the sound from a $ 179.00 amp. It's amazing, and saved me a ton of damn $$.

They suck for blues/classic rock, but they certainly don't suck.

Classic 30 would be the right choice though.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but what exactly do they excel in?

Please don't tell me I'm the only one that clicked this thread thinking I would learn how to make my guitar sound like a grizzly bear.

I just bought a Classic 30 the other day. It is a fantstic sounding amp. I have pulled dozens of tones out of it already. And don't underestimate the volume this thing puts out. It shakes the windows in my house at volume 3. I really love it for that growling classic rock sound, or an Eric Johnson Cliffs of Dover type shredding tone, but I have found usable tones for any genre I can play. The classic 30 definitely seems to excel in Classic Rock and Blues though.
