Well I thought I was going to go for the Bugera, but I didn't really like it that much when I tried it. I don't know if it was me being snobbish but it was a bit too harsh/buzzy.

Anyways, I increased my budget to around $1200 dollars. Here's an example of tone I like:

I can't afford a Splawn, but it gives you an idea of the kind of gain structure/voicing I like.

It will be used mainly for Modern Metal, but I'd like to be able to play blues and have decent cleans for when I need them.

Sigh. Guide me GG&A. I don't know what the hell to do.

mesa dual has that low end for sure, u could probably tweak it to get something similar

That vid definitely definitely solidifies my choice to get a Splawn Nitro as my next amp head.

See if you can stretch your budget by 100 and see if you can get an Engl Screamer?

If you have other thread could you possibly combine all the suggestions you were given into a list and then show the ones which you didn't like?

It would make it easier to give different suggestions.
