If you are just starting out it is a solid bass, I would still suggest you check out the Ibanez GSR200 as it is abit better.

crikey that sunburst job is ghastly

It is a good starter, but as mentioned before you can get the GSR200 for not much more, ie active electronics and P/J pickup config

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.

i have a gsr200, and i love it, you should spend the extra money and get the gsr200, i think my neighbor has the gsr180, its not bad but the gsr100 is sooo much better
What doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger

Bass: Ibanez Gsr200
Bass amp: Ibanez sw100 stack

Guitar: squier starter pack

never buy a squier!

Yeah get tge GSR200, much better basses, more versatile, better looking etc, and not bad for the cash.

If you want that pick-up configuration, I would proabably go with a Squier Jazz bass.

If you want an Ibanez, I would step it up to the GSR200.

Another +1 on the GSR200 or GSR200FM

but the only difference between the gsr200 and the gsr200fm is the finish, its kinda a waste of money IMO

ive tried both the 180 and the 200 and imo the ones i played were no better than each other, and you were basically choosing between PJ and JJ. maybe i just got a good 180 though
