Where i play acoustic/classical I have long fingernails on my picking hand,

These constantly break and chip etc but today i put some clear nail varnish/nail hardener on and they're rock hard

Also sounds amazing - anyone else do this? - if not i highly reccomend it

I do use them, it's a different sound though, when i finger pick i use a little skin and nail for the right sound

Yeah. Nail strengthener is good for if you use your nails a lot. I think I need to pick some up as well. After about an hour of playing, my nails get filed down really badly and they get miss-shapen(ugh, cant think of the word it's kinda deformed but not as severely) so I cant pick properly.
