i have 2 guitars in my house, but i dont know if they are ment to have steel or nylon strings. They both have no strings, how do i know the type of strings it needs?

well you gotta look at the bridge

MOST (never say never) guitars with a wrap-around bridge will take nylon strings (a plectrum will destroy them)...if it has ping ang holes n such, its most likely a steel-string acoustic

A plectrum shouldn't ruin nylon strings as far as I know...

But yes, look at the bridge. If the strings are tied on then it's a nylon string guitar. If it has bridge pins or a through type bridge(used to catch the balls on steel strings) then it's a steel string.
