Judge punishes people for playing their music too loud with Barry Manilow...:D

Seriously, this is funny.

A judge in Colorado is punishing teenagers who play their music too loud by having them sit in a locked room and have them listen to Barry Manilow and Barney the Dinosaur records at high volumes.

I'd just make them sit in a room with Lars from Metallica for 5 minutes with a snare drum and a Megadeth shirt on. As well as burnt copies of all their albums glued on the back of the Megadeth shirt.

If the 5 minutes are survived, you are innocent.

*waits for lawsuit over hearing loss*

And when did playing music loud get you in trouble? Seems pointless.

It's called noise pollution. I've lived next to people like this and I've got hearing loss cause of them.

Epic, but I'm pretty sure that the kid's parents could sue calling it cruel and unusual or unconstitutional or something.

Personally, an hour of "Copacobana" would drive me bonkers. I could deal with everything else no problem, Karen Carpenter has a nice voice

Can we have your judges? The UK needs more of these sort.

Also not to be picky or anything but isn't it Manilow? I thought it was, but maybe I'm wrong and I've never paid enough attention.

As for the judge and that case, lol. That is awesome. It's a really good way of demonstrating to the kids what it's like for other people to have to put up with their loud music that they don't like. Kudos to the judge. I just hope he doesn't get in trouble.

I found it funny at first, but then I thought about it. If they did that to inmates at Guantanamo Bay, that would be considered torture. An hour of Copacabana? There's no way that's constitutional.

Well what about your neighbours having to put up with an hour of Raining Blood? Which one do you think is worse?

That's not torture, you'd just have to listen to it 3 times. I've done that...

no its not,
cruel and unusual punishment is described by what the police deem it, trust me....they still use the electric chair, thats not cruel if they killed a life, so if the noise polluters are playing music the ppl in the town dont like, then y shouldnt they have it done to them?
#35
Well that's relieiving. I dislike people that play their music loud (regardless of genre, minus concerts) and I live in Colorado.
