Amp -->

Squier Stratocaster + Fender Frontman 15G + Boss DS-1.
The below is false.
The above is true.

*world implodes*
two hot-rodded 50 watt JCM800 heads. one for cleans the other for rhythm/lead.

for effects, I'd have a Carbon Copy delay for leads, and a Boss DD7 for other stuff.

Small Clone chorus, Boss Blues Driver,a volume pedal, and a Dunlop 535Q crybaby.

for a guitar, i would have to be able to choose between a Honeyburst Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Goldtop Standard, and a really sweet telecaster. All my guitars will have seymour duncan '59 vintage pups (except for the tele, which will have it's stock pickups)

phew...i can only dream...

Hmm, my ultimate setup. Well, I suppose I'm about half way there.

For the guitars, I'd wire up set of Suhr FLs (three neck position, no hot bridge) into my American Std Strat, replace the bridge with a Gotoh 510TS-FE1 and refret with some nice big jumbo frets. I'd wire set of Callaham Special Winds into my Marvin sig Strat, replace the hardware with parts form Callaham, strip the neck laquer and refret with some nice big jumbo frets. Both strats would use the Suhr BPSSC system, would both have a push/pull pot in the volume knob position to toggle the bridge pickup independent of the 5-way and both would have the first tone wired to neck and middle, second tone to bridge. I'd also replace the Evos in my Jem, not sure what I'd use here, I'm sure BareKnuckle would make something to suit. I wouldn't mind a custom built Suhr Classic either.

From here, the guitars would run into an Analogman NKT-275 Sunface, a Teese RMC Picture Wah, an Xotic RC Booster, an Xotic BB Preamp and a Butler Tube Driver, before going into the preamp of my Cornford Hellcat. I'd have a TC Electronics SCF, an EHX DMM and a Fulltone TTE in the loop, and then into the poweramp and cab (pine 2x12 with V30s). All switching would be done via a Gig Rig Pro-14, Evidence cable used throughout (the George L's I'm using are nice, but noisy).

Every guitar would be strung with D'Addario Strings, but the gauge would depend on the guitar. I use Dunlop Eric Johnson Jazz IIIs.

I play prog rock (Floydian stuff), instrumental rock, a little blues and some jazz fusion.
My name is Tom, feel free to use it.

Fuzz...It's wonderful and horrible and beautiful and repulsive and so many things all at once.

Soldano Decatone or a Diezel Einstein (either one works perfect for what I do) run through a ported, front loaded 2x12.

Brand isn't that important as long as it has a 24.75" neck scale, a really thin neck, amazing pickups, and a built in touchpad.

TC Electronic G Major for the most part, a good 808 style overdrive, two channels of noise reduction, and a Kaoss Pad for the really weird stuff. Midi switching is absolutely necessary regardless of anything else.

12-54's or thicker tuned in D standard. I'm not picky about brand names. I need picks that are kind of sharp that don't flex a lot. Once again, not picky about things like overall size, or overall thickness as long as they don't flex a lot and are kind of sharp.

I play harder noise oriented stuff kind of in the vein of some Muse/Radiohead/MuteMath songs, and a lot of metal-derived riff-driven stuff. As you may have noted my "Ultimate Setup" is exactly the same setup I currently have. This isn't without reason.
