How drastic of a change would a TS9 be in front of a 6505+ ??

I'm planning on just clean-boosting it to refine/tighten its tone.

It would sound somewhat different - you'd get more gain, a slight volume boost, and more mids because the tubescreamer is voiced with a mid-hump.

what style of music do you play?
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

A TS9 makes a huge difference bro!
If I had never bought a TS9 to boost my Krank with, I would have sold it months ago because the tones just arn't achievable without one. It'll be the best hundred bucks that you will ever spend!

Why are you NOT using the drive knob?

because he's essentially using it as a boost not as an overdrive pedal.

Yeah. people, like Lemoninfluence, are hypocrites and should have all their opinions invalidated from here on out.

You'll get lots of added compression and saturation as well as as the grindier mids and tighter low-end. It's a cool sound, worth trying out.

its a great pedal that adds a slight overdrive (all the way up to acdc overdrive) while def keeping the character of ur guitar...its a very clean overdrive with no muddiness...i use it as a boost, nice rhythm crunch, and to smooth out my fuzz pedal
