My high strings (e, B and sometimes G) produces an annoying noise when I pick them, and I don't know why. I can hear the noise when the guitar is unplugged or when I play on clean channel. If I put distortion the sound is ok. The noise seems a buzz but the strings are NOT touching the neck and the action is pretty high. I've even tried with highest action possible but the problem still persists. Any idea? The guitar is a Jackson RR3... awesome guitar, but this problem is really annoying me.

Also I need to change strings on my other guitar, but I don't know what to buy. I mainly play metal (nothing brutal) and hard rock and the guitar is tuned in Eb. Occasionally I tune it in D. ATM I use these.
