right ive finally found the amp i want to get to replace my 6505

im looking at the marshall JVM2 heads

ive looked at some videos of them and i love the footswitch

i play stuff like BLS all the way to machinehead

i love the 6505 but i needed more flexabilty and a better clean channel

im selling the 6505 to the other guitarist in my band

i might get the 50w marshall head

do you think i could keep up with him using my amp

also does anyone have good or bad things to say about the jvm series

I'm not a huge fan but they sound ok I guess. Neal Schon uses them these days and I've always thought he had an ear for good tone. Journey sounded great on their latest tour as well.

The 50 watts will have no problem keeping up with the Peavey. You'll have slightly less headroom but if you ever to be playing at the type of volume where the headroom is a real problem, the venue will be big enough that they'll have a PA (and a soundman that will need to to mix the sound as you'd both be drowning out the drums unmic'd) The difference between 50 watts and 100 watts is 3dB, indistinguishable at those higher volumes.

My mate has the JVM and I have the 6505+ like yourself.
The JVM is nowhere near as brutal or articulate in the high gain stuff - it's good but definitely not worth the price tag Marshall give it.

For the best tingle, use Original Source mint. That shit feels amazing on your balls.

Fizz fizz fizz fizz.
New Marshall is not good Marshall.
That Kerry King signature is actually a great sounding amp though.

Or get a used JCM and boost it maybe?
