I was already doing this, but I wanted to know if it would help my current issue as well.

I want to replace my Behringer Ultrabass head with a MarkBass Little Mark II.

This is OBVIOUSLY a good idea. I love how the Little Mark sounds, looks, and it's overall AMAZING. Anyway, my current issue.

Whenever I slap while running through my Behringer, I don't hear an actual note as much as I hear a loud popping sound. It's not pretty, and it makes me unable to do the most entertaining part of bass.

I know it's the amp, I ran through my old Fender Rumble 15 Amp, and it sounded loads better...hehe.

But do you think it's the head that's giving me this horrible reaction?

probably. Ampeg cabs can get slapping out pretty well with Ampeg heads.

Markbass heads gets slapping out great with Markbass cabs.

Behringer ____ doesn't.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

well if it isn't the head then it must be the cab; find a friend with a head/cab and troubleshoot?
