Right now I have a Samsung flat screen LCD TV, pretty big. Weeeeeell... I don't have cable and I've been using http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MRHAU4
It's been around couple of months since KTLA has gone from reception but I was too lazy to post this.. That channel was like the only channel i watched; and now I want it back
First question, might be kinda obvious.. but is my TV digital? and if i change to DTV with some converter box or whatever, I'd get my channels back, right?(i live in la crescenta, which is pretty close to LA) If so, how do I get the switch to digital?

1: It's a freaking LCD tv, why wouldn't it be digital???
2: Just get cable or direct tv. You paid big money for that HDTV, use it to it's full potential.

Sorry, had to fix your post to make it pit-appropriate

Get a cable box. They literally give them out for free for the switch.

wait... so if i get the digital box, i'll also have to get a cable box?
Well if you have the same thing, can you tell me which ones you got?

You definitely lost your channel due to the digital switch that's happening two months from now.

No, because, in 2008, if you get cable, it's already going to be digital. If you DON'T get digital cable, you need the box. The thing I'm not sure about is that you have a digital antenna. So, does the switch effect you because it's an antenna? Or does it not because it's digital?

Regardless, the boxes are still free, so you might as well cover all your bases: https://www.dtv2009.gov/
