Hi guys,

I just bought a carvin sx-300 amp and i think im gonan need a distortion pedal to get a good thrash sound. Would you be able to recommend me anything?

Im juggling between the line 6 uber metal and the metal muff.

Why didn't you just buy an amp which did thrash on it's own?

Anyways, out of those 2 i'd go with the MM.

Oh, I was assuming that you had a few more options to choose from.
I thought it was more expensive than 300 bucks.

What about a simple pedal like the DS-1 to act as a boost?

Naw, TS wants an overdrive to boost the drive channel of the amp into thrash territory. Look into the Ibanez TS808, TS9, Maxon OD9 and OD808.

Oh, okay. I take it the Carvin is tube then? Sorry, I'm really inexperienced with Carvins...

That Carvin is SS and a modeler, so TS probably needs a better amp because pedals with that thing will just sound like a turd.
