Ok I just downloaded a word document I sent to myself from my email account (hotmail). Thing is I just opened it and didnt save the file to a location. Ive done quite abit of work on it, saved a few times. Closed the file down and decided to send the file back to myself. Now I just realised were the hell did my work save too?

You mean you closed it after saving?

What jackal means is that if you open up word and click on save as it will bring up the location of the directory where you saved it. Assuming you edited with word.

I'd go with searching for it. If you don't find it, open up word again and look in the recent history thing and see if it's like you saved it (maybe not, but worth a shot if searching failed).
