Bands/song names/albums with awesome bass please, that is metal. Requierments, song must have generally awesome bass...
Go!
(Preferably not following the guitar)

EDIT: I'm looking to get into stuff like jazz bass,I don't wanna make another thread, but I also need some reccomendations for stuff like jaco, and wooten, but without slap or pop, like jazz/blues/funk stuff,(yes I do realise most funk is slap) but I don't want slap and pop.

Depends what kind of thing you want. Metal is pretty broad and vague.

I like a bit of Sleep, Mastodon and Kyuss myself.

Who knows. Remember a couple of weeks ago somebody was saying Tommy the Cat was one of the easiest slap basslines.

It isn't that tricky at all. Just fast as hell. Do it slowly every time you pick up your bass for a few minutes and it soon comes.

I think it just employs some awkward movements you have to get down really slowly, but... You still wouldn't recommend it for a beginner at slap.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.
