For my school talent show this year, I'm planning on doing a medoly(A combination of different songs into one long one) of a bunch of different songs from different eras of music. Right now, here's my order

Wish you were here - Floyd (edited to the chorus)
No such thing - John Mayer (up until the first chorus or so)
Blackbird - Beatles
Chris Cornell's cover of Michael Jacksons, Billie Jean
The fast part of Bohemain Rhapsody (up until the solo)- Queen
and end it with the ending of Hey Jude - Beatles

Now, I'm hesitant to do this. I'm afraid that i might not be able to pull it. It's going to be all on acoustic, and i still need to figure out the Bohemian Rhapsody part.

I guess what I'm looking for here is some good advice on what to change up/ what other songs i should use in place of other songs/ general criticism on my songs and order choices.

EDIT: Also, trying to stick on the more popular side of things. The songs that people would really know would obviously further attract them, making me a more likely candidate to win it!

I'm not sure about a time limit for my slot, so as of now, it's open.
"We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment"

Tool, anyone?
Alter Bridge, maybe?
A bit of John Mayer?
Some beethoven sounds delightful, as well.

I think it's too ambitious, but good luck with whatever you go for.

I'd say that less is more.

I've only ever seen a medly of songs pulled off well once...and that was a medly of hendrix by a guitarist and a drummer, so basically a solo in Eminor and some drumming...

Good luck to you...

What about the riff from stairway going into tribute by tenacious d? Maybe a bit cliche...

That medley is begging for some Tenacious D.

I was thinking that, but i didn't exactly know where to put it in.
