Hey I've got enough money to buy both the Boss Metal Zone and the Digitech Death Metal pedal, but i know i probably dont really need both of them. Any recommendations?

when you say both the boss and digitech does that mean you can get both of them or can afford only one of them?

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

NEITHER!!

you aren't going to get a good tone with a micro spider + a pedal

save for a new amp, you'll be MUCH happier...

*sigh*

you obviously haven't been here very long... people rip on spiders and MGs on this site more than people rip on homos...

you are best off telling your parents to hold off on the amp and just give you money towards a new one in the future, preferably a low end tube amp like a crate v50 or a peavey valveking... imo of course.

edit: $200?... just save and look for used amps... i bought my peavey valveking for $220 and its normally a $430 amp... just keep an eye on craigslist and ebay and wait for that deal to come along while you save up... chances are you aren't playing any gigs immediately and you'll be happier in the long run that you saved up for that extra month or two...

for that price get a roland cube - much better practice amp than mg or spider. preferably the 30 watt (more amp models)
Ibanez S320 with Dimarzio Fred + Seymour Duncan 59-> Weeping Demon Wah -> Ibanez TS-7 -> Homemade iBoost x3 -> Keeley DS-1 -> Visual Sound H2O -> MXR Ten Band -> Traynor YCV20
