Probably not. There's no mention of what kind of pickups they actually are or anything else, so I'd bet they're low end crap.

I agree, crap crap and more crap. When it comes to pickups, most of the time you get what you pay for. Look for what kind of magnets are used and how the pickup is wound (more or less windings, large or small gauge wire etc.) when looking at pickups.

They look like ass, and I wouldn't trust them.

Get an Irongear Hammerhead for £25 for your bridge position, and keep your current neck pickup:

You don't have the guitar and you're swapping pickups in it already?

why? Play the guitar, and decide if
a) it's even worth spending money on
b) you actually like the pickups

17 pounds equates to something close to 40 dollars....crap. If you want a decent set of p/ups, you're going to spend a pretty good deal, somewhere in the area of 150-200 bucks which equates to 60-75 pounds. A set of active EMG's are 200 bucks (90-100 pounds) and anything else ranges from 70-100 bucks per pickup (30-45 pounds).
Guitars:
Ibanez RG4EX1
Epiphone SG w/EMG's

Amps:
Peavey Windsor Head w/ JSX Cab
MicroCube (for the sake of practice at college)

Pedals :
Fulltone Full Drive 2 Mosfet
Digitech Whammy
Dunlop Crybaby

I didn't say it was.

Just thing about your bridge pickup for the time being - I find that more important then a neck pickup, which you can get away with being a bit crap for a while.

Actually, bad neck pickups are all too common and probably a better value for money replacement IMO.

But if he's playing metal and he's a beginner, he'll probably be using his bridge pickup most of the time, so he'd see more of an improvement there.

Edit: Anyway, I think we all agree that the £16/pair pickups would be a terrible idea!
