iv just looked on another website and it says you can do this:
guitar--->valvestate----->other amp(from line out to input) and plug headphones in the other amp
will this work?

oh, btw i have i marshall valvestate 8080v
which has a line out but no headphones

Just plug the headphones into the line out, start out with the volume and gain controls low and work from there.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Then the line out doesn't work. Headphones work off a line level signal, a headphone out is the same thing as a line out.

If you wanna use it. Don't take my word for it that it's broke, but unless I'm mistaken you should be able to use headphones in the line out of an amp.

That would be pretty pointless, if you had another amp with a headphone out just use it by itself. If you're expecting doing that to sound like the avt then you'll be disappointed. Not to mention you couldn't plug it straight into the input, the amp would have to have a power in or fx return or something of the sort.

No, it won't - it'll possibly damage the other amp though.
