As you walk down the aisle,
You turn to me and
I flash a fleeting smile;
Though it's not as cute inside.
When you're passed my pew,
I stand and leave the room.
Walk away from things I'll never have,
the temptation of my life.

And this'll be the last you see of me for a long time.
Running away from the whisperings and dead weights of lives lost.

The piano strikes a chord,
And your procession begins
In the same church we found the Lord,
He who abandoned us to sin.
Your family and closest friends
all gathered here for you
To witness your old life end,
And see a new stage born anew.

Burning miles on the highway as i hide away from everything;
Your new love, your new home, your new life.
Without me.

Some day I'll find my way home,
And I'll call you on the phone
And you'll tell me how he left you,
Left you broken and alone.
I'm sorry i can't save you
from the inevitable end.
I tried to make you mine,
But you just wanted to be friends.
Girl I swear I love you, we've been
Best friends all our lives.
I wish i could have saved you
The pain shown in your eyes.
And these words to you, you know they're true.
One day soon you'll make it through.
And when you do, please think of me,
Cuz I'm here for you, and I'll always be.

And this'll be the last you see of me for a long time.
Running away from the whisperings and dead weights of lives lost.
Burning miles on the highway as I hide away from everything;
Our old love, our old home, our old life...
It's gone.

It's gone.

ouch man... I'm no expert but I felt every line. What kind of genre are you thinking this one to go in? In my head it was real quiet during the verses and then seemed to scream at me for the choruses.

I really like it.
