They credited us with the birth of that sort of heavy metal thing. Well, if that's the case, there should be an immediate abortion.

Anything off of Liquid Swords by GZA.
My style is impetuous.
My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious.
I want your heart.
I want to eat your children.

song to comus, by comus

Hymen hunter, hands of steel,
crack you open and your red flesh peel
Pain procurer, eyes of fire
pierce your womb and push still higher
Comus rape, Comus break
sweet young virgin's virtue take
Naked flesh flowing hair
her terror screams they cut the air

any song with the phrase hymen hunter in it has got to be gold
Gear:
PRS SE Singlecut, blue with stoptail (my baby)
Line 6 Spider III 75 (shut up)
Epiphone Les Paul standard
Cheapo Yamaha nylon string
even more cheapo Fender steel string acoustic

Checkout the band HURT if your looking for deep lyrics. Also, you may like them if your not picky about listening to multiple genres and moods of music.

A7x lyrics? no meaning what so ever. there in the music industry for the cash. Story of the Year has some good lyrics.

Trivium. Matt Heafy writes all lyrics. and he was a nerd. straight A's.
Dream Theater. They know what they're doing. they are all GODS.

Hate all you want, but the meaning of the song is pretty great.

Why the **** would you say "inb4" in your own thread?

In the Bush administration they call that a "pre-emptive strike"

Because being a sellout is a bad thing.

On topic: Iron Maiden, Steve Harris makes pure poetry. Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner, anyone?

there is not a facepalm worthy of this abomination of a post. you bash one guy for liking an extremly overrated (in my opinion) then suggest that an equally if not even more poser band (anyone who strives to be the 'next metallica' or any band for that matter are ****ing posers) writes great lyrics,

your a hypocrite.

that said i like Snoop Doggs lyrics, they are simple but he makes them flow really well and they get stuck in your head.
The Mitch Clem formula
1)make jokes about rancid and NOFX (as if they dont already make fun of themselves)
2)make obvious punk puns, possibly related to food
3)make fun of Rancid and NOFX again
4)??????
5)PROFIT (and an army of internet fanboys)

i could never stand Black Sabbaths lyrics, love everything else about them, but their lyrics are awful, they barley even tried to make them rhyme or even fit into the rythm.

Really surprised no one has mentioned Dylan,

Desolation Row, Positively 4th street, Like a rolling stone.

Some stuff by Bright Eyes and Conor Oberst has decent lyrics in my opinion.

I believe you mean that Samuel Taylor Coleridge makes pure poetry.

Ryan Adams - I Taught Myself How To Grow Old

Not that I'm having one of those obsessive phases or anything.
