Lately I have been interest in Resonators and was wondering what is the Pros and Cons of having one. In particular is it good for strumming or is it more of a picking instrument ? --- I beening playing delta blues (with a slide) lately but how well does Resonators do with other genres (I like the Beatles, Oasis, The Smiths)

in my opinion, resonators have a metallic sound. i find they're more suited to picking, as opposed to strumming. Strumming and chords sound like a cacophony of aluminum pipes. much more suited to picking.. I saw this golden resonator at the Guitar Center in West Covina, CA
