What are the stock pup's?

Hearing one today solidified my need for one.

I LOVE the neck on them and the tone is to die for a thousand times over.

I've found a japanese fender from '97 (**** american's..) with texas specials and want THAT sound (the stock american pickups).

Admittedly the only times I've heard one is at the hands of John Wheatcroft, so his fingers probably account for at least half the tone. But I still have seriously G.A.S. for one.

Cheers

isn't the 52 wired 'incorrectly'? The pickups aren't anything special I think.

my roommate has a 52 tele. when I get home I'll check the modern rewiring kit instructions and will try to find out how it's curently wired.

Haha.

Didn't realise it'd be on the fender website.

Cheers.

Accidentally stumbled upon the pickups while wondering around ebay too.

Looks like I'm good to go.

I'l probably get the jap, get yank hardware and then wire it all together myself.

Best of everything IMO.
