I noticed in the threads about what song people when sad that some people play uplifting, cheery songs, while others play something depressing like Fade to Black or some blues. That made me wonder what type of songs people play when they're sad.

I stick to the blues.

Wait 5 hours
Be accused by the promoter of being late
Get told we have only a 10 minute set
Play pure noise for 10 minutes

Worst and most amusing gig of my life.

Anyone else had this kind of **** happen?!

Dimebag had a worse gig.

WRONG.

The only reason it exists is because drugs get people fucked up, and people love getting fucked up.

Same with me, but I have to ask: If you like listening to that album to cheer yourself up, do you skip Lost in the Supermarket? I've always found that to be pretty depressing.

I don't skip it just because I like it so much. I don't listen to how the songs make me feel, I just listen to songs I like.

I play the very emotional (not emo) rock songs. The upbeat ones that still seem sadish, but not quite emo

I'M AM NOT AN EMO!!!

Depends. If I want to get rid of the sadness then I get rocking with the Wildhearts or play some fun jumpy riffs. If I want to indulge my sad side a little then I stick on Nick Cave's 'No more shall we part' and drink some whiskey.

I cannot stand happy songs when I am sad. I don't mind angry songs too when I'm sad though. Depends if its guilt or being sad because of someone else's fault then yes I like to more angry songs if that was the case.
